She who smiles at you when you don’t know anyone,

She who tells you to “never stop believing in yourself”,

She who comforts you with a warm and gentle touch,

Comes home alone at night, sing herself a lullaby

‘Til she falls asleep, curled up on bed.



She who greets you “good morning” everyday,

She who asks you about the joys and pains of your day,

She who looks so mighty and strong to everyone,

Breaks down and cry in the little corner of her room

Where only the four walls and herself care to listen.



She who gives all her effort to teach you something new,

She who makes sure that every work is done on time,

She whom they say is “having the time of her life”,

Often takes a long walk, missing her own family-

“A job well done with no one to share it to.”



She who speaks with courage and determination,

She who listens to all your worries and frustrations,

She who tells you that, “everything’s gonna be alright”,

Prays in fear at the end of the day-

That she might find the strength to live tomorrow.



She who is admired for her principles and dreams,

She who is the source of great advices,

She who is said to be “the one full of love to be given away”,

Longs to be loved, longs to be cared , longs to be seen-

Beyond the masks of perfection- she is just like you.



She too gets tired, she gets afraid, she cries,

She too needs a break, affirmation, she needs comfort,

She too gets hurt, she gets mad, she gets crazy,

She too needs time- to heal and to forgive, she needs understanding-

You see, she is human- she is just like you.



In your mind, she is the woman that you would like to be…

She is everyone’s warrior- but not all warriors win the battle.

She is everyone’s hero- but she too needs to be saved.

Looking at her eyes in the mirror, she wipes her tears

And tells herself with a faint smile, “Everything’s gonna be alright”…
