Reading In The Old Testament

[after the Epistle to the Hebrews]

To us, reading the Old Testament;
it is allegorically provident---
to earthly forms came, clearly evident,
the Heavenly temple's spiritual content,
anticipating Christ's new Testament.

The outcast enemy seeks to prevent
such faith.  To this insidious intent,
he is devout, unceasing, warped and bent.
His efforts to raise doubt do not relent.
But Christ has triumphed.  Evil will be sent
to Hell, to be there ever burnt and rent.
