Days, hours, and months pass quickly,
I look unto the heavens with desire.
Saying in my mind and heart,
While feeling the closeness to my lord.
Home in his arms so warm and safe,
For eternity to pass away until nite.
Nothing but love surrounds me,
Like the quietness I seem to seek.
Not as bright as the suns rays,
But warm enough to be comforted.
It keeps me going thus far,
Even when it seems that I will never get there.
How often does my mind leave this world?
As often as possible I presume.
I see myself and believe in my visions,
Holding my hand and gently speaking to my soul.
Although I sit and wonder,
How quickly can I get there.
When will the moment ever come,
Each second is one closer to going home.
