My grandmother coffee Cups

My grandmother has about a hundred different coffee cups from around the world, all of them placed on a hanging bookshelf on the largest and biggest wall of the house. All hundred cups of different color, shape, and sizes, even some of them are modern with shining lights and warmers. All those cups were brought by different family members, my cousin who is always traveling from country to country, because of his job is the one who had bring the most cups, around 30 I believe, and cups from many awesome and big countries, from Argentina and Brazil to China and New Zealand. This is becoming a tradition in our family, even my own grandmother with her 86 years old, has traveled to many places in Europe such as Italy, Rome, and Vatican city, and bring cups by herself just to see more cups in her collection. Every time a family member travels to an unknown country by our family he makes sure to bring a cup for my grandmother, my family had brought many cups, my father due to business had to travel to Germany and visit many cities, and when he came back to Monterrey he was carrying with him a big beer cup from Germany that was given to him as a gift for his work. Even I had brought a cup for my grandmother, I got the luckiness to travel to New York one year and bring one from Broadway, not from a city just because my selfish traveling cousin had already bring one from all of New York cities. Although this tradition of bringing cups from different countries it’s been on my family for years, I never actually understood why bring a cup from other country where you cant see how the actual country is, why not a picture, so one day I asked my father about this and he replies to me this: “Son, I don’t know” So I decided to ask my grandmother about it, and he told me, that it was not about showing others all the places my family had traveled, that for her, each one of those cups had a meaning to them, each one of those means the hard work each of his 9 children had done to get to that country and that every time she sees one, she gets full of proudness and knows in the inside that she did well for them.
