Knowing I go where I have lost so much, Many friends, and fellow solders, My comrades in arms)



SO HERE I GO!!!!



I turn to away and let the tears flow

I hate to leave you

I hate to see you cry



The pain it brings me.

The hurt I feel inside.

Like a million knives.



So here I go

I cant stop this flow

These tears of heart filled pain



I feel the invisible hands tug at me

Your tears of longing.

Your unspoken pain.



I call when I can

I email you stories when I can.

Yet I must go.



For it is for you that I go

To protect your future,

To help protect your freedom.



I do this all for you.

I will protect you

So here I GO!



Shedding tears of longing.

Endless nights of fear

Fears of forever leaving you behind.



I make my calls to you

I promise you I am ok

Yet inside I continue to cry

Vehicles crashing

Mortars thumping

Rounds flying through the air

Explosions filling my ears

I scream at the exploding nights,

I scream out for you

Yelling at the top of my lungs



Telling them to come face me!

Telling them that cant have me.

Showing them no fear



I stand with my brothers

And sisters, Side by side

Protect your freedom.



The freedom of life.

The freedom of choice

The freedom of pride



The very things I want to give to you.
