They fire not for you or I.
They don’t stop for you or I.
They are quick and deadly
They snap to and fro
They target all enemies alike.
No matter the foe.
You or I could pull the trigger.
You or I could set the primer.
You or I can point out the enemy.
It is what they were meant to do.
It is for what they are made.
It is also why they are trained.
They fight as told. The die for freedom
They don’t die for just you.
They fight and die for all.
That is why the do what they do.
They are men, boys, sons, grandsons, and fathers.
They are woman, girls, daughters, granddaughters, and mothers.
They do what the do for us all
No matter for our creed.
No matter for our color
No matter for our beliefs.
They do it all for freedom.
They come from all over
They are us and we are them.
They are tan, caucasian, brown, black and any color of life.
Yet that does not matter to our enemy
We are Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Atheists, and every religion.
Yet that does not matter to our common enemy.
Out greatest nation in the world.
Out greatest power we have.
The People, us the people of Earth.
And yet your guns roar and roar,
Night and day the scream and roar,
At our enemies, and our greatest foe, our selves.
