I say
I
am
fine

I say I am fine
when everyone else is
bursting in joy

I lay in bed
as if I am tired
when in fact
I am losing it
and the warm bitter tears
slowly
stroll down

I have to try so hard
wipe the tears quickly
in this time of celebration
swallow the bitter tears
so I wont be wailing
like a child
