My Best Friend
You held my hand,
When I was scared.
I knew it was ok,
You were always there.
On those lonely nights,
When I just wanted to cry,
You gave me your shoulder,
And the time went by.
I helped you,
When you needed me most.
And, when I needed comfort,
You were always my host.
I will always remember,
The times we’ve had.
That day we got punished,
For being bad.
I never cared,
If you had money.
It never mattered,
You were constantly funny.
The days have gone by.
It’s still funny though,
All of our past times,
And those of tomorrow.
I realize forever,
I can count on you.
You’ll always be with me,
I’ll never be blue.
I hope you now know,
Your true meaning to me.
The experiences we’ve had,
And those yet to be.
