SOFTLY INTO ETERNITY

Once upon a time,
long ago
a young lassie
whispered,

"No matter what
happens
tomorrow,
I will love you
the day after."

Little did she
realize
how quickly he
would vanish.

As a flower
dropping petals
softly into eternity
