MY LIFE STORY #1
The first page of my life story. I have combined poetry with prose.

My family,
known as
the Burns
clan
Coming
from
Scotland
a private
man.

Loved the
Heathers
by the
bay,
naming
his baby
one sweet
day.

The clan
had a
terrible
fight
breaking
up one
stormy
night.

He moved
to find
a way
prepare
him for
a brighter
day.

Loved his
family
made a
tree,
had two
sons
finally
me.

My mother was the rock for my father.

THE ROCK OF LAURA LEE

I stood
on the
rock of
Laura Lee,
Silently
looking
out to sea.

Scanning
the
horizon,
no ship in
sight,
Perhaps
a phantom,
in the
night.

Today I'm
standing
here
again,
watching
your ship
rounding
the bend.

Catching
you in
the misty
air,
My heart
leaps to
see you
there.

Once
again
your
home
with me.
waiting
on the
rock of
Laura Lee.
