THE WEB OF TIME

THE WEB OF TIME
In the
rustling
of the
leaves
someone
called my
name .

A voice so
familiar
Same old
haunting
refrain.

Hearing
you on
that
Autumn
day,

My mind
seemed to
drift away.

To another
time and
place,
visions of
your
handsome
face.

Feelings,
just won't
go away keeps
returning
day by day.

Caught up
in the web
of time
ever
returning
in my
rhymes.

If I could
take
tomorrow,
trade it
for today.

I'd wrap
my arms
around
you,
Never let
you walk
away.
