A GATHERING

A GATHERING
I sat and
watched
clouds
gathering,

Taking
on
familiar
faces,

Was
taken
back
to
yesterday,

When as
children,
we
played
together.

Running
on the
beach,

Gathering
shells for
our
collections.

Building
castles
in the
sand.

Only
to be
washed
away
by the
tide.

Teasing
each
other
about
tomorrow,

How
quickly
time
passes.
