Oh! my
friend
I remember
our times
together.
Moments
spent
as children
romping on
the beach.
Gathering
shells for
our
collections.
Talking,
laughing,
whispering
our little
secrets.
Inside a
heart,
our
initials
were left
in the
sand,
washed
away by
the tide.
Young teen-
ageers
looking
at each
other
starry
eyed,
full of
hope
anticipating
the
future.
Then in
later
years
walking in
the quite
of the
evening.
Holding
hands
stopping
by
the lake.
Watching
mother duck
silently
guiding her
babies across
the water.
Sharing our
most intimate
thoughts.
laying our
souls bare
to each other.
The days of
our lives
slipped away
so quickly.
Moments so
precious
creating a
life-time
of memories.
