her wounded lover
ADONIS
her flesh gets caught
on the thorns of a
lovely white rose
bush.

Her blood spilling on
the white rose bush
causes it to turn red.
The innocence and
purity of the white
rose
is gone as it turns
red

into experience and
motherhood.
