STEPPING OUTSIDE

Stepping outside the fairy ring,
To many heartaches, no time
to sing.
Same as in the long ago,
Wintertime, on coming snow.
Passage is slippery, to much
ice,
Thawing too slowly, what a
price.
Trees, standing tall, and bare,
Shivering in the winters air.
Stepping back in the fairy ring,
People happy, dance and sing.
Let's not try,and pretend,
She won't step outside again.
