STEAM SHADOWS
The aches set in with the rain.
I do all I can to relieve them.
Nothing much seems to help.
Today I gave in to the call
I retreated to the warmth of the water.
Only hot water can help on days like this.
I start the water and settle in
there is nothing like this feeling.
The hot water can take me to a place
a place where only shadows survive.
Hiding in the steam coming off the water
shadows seem to be everywhere you look.
These little creatures are there to help.
They take the pain from me
letting me soak up the warmth.
