looking back at me
I watch her tears cascade down her face
She tries to smile, but it is out of place
Her hands tremble, as she wipes them away
Knowing she has to get through yet another day
I see the pain she tries so hard to hide
However, its there, I cannot deny
A tiny line etched between her blue eyes
From a frown and tears she has cried
I watch her laugh, and show the entire world
That no matter what, she is a strong girl
But when alone, she crumbles and folds
Moreover, cries alone over a man she has known
I see her look at me and I wonder why
For this man she leftt, she cries
As she stares into the mirror, does she see?
The woman looking back is me
