        AUTUMN WINDS

The autumn wind blows thru my hair
People hurry from the chilled night air
Still slowly, we walk hand in hand
Oblivious to the chill across the land

Autumn colors all red, brown, and gold
Drift down on us as our love unfolds
Our souls warmed by the love in our hearts
Not even an autumn wind will tear us apart

Autumn winds so cold it chills to the bone
Yet, I feel warmness like the one I have never known
Warmed by the love of a man with a gentle touch
A warm smile and a soul I adore so much

This autumn I will hold in my heart forever
As the season that brought us together
So let those cold autumn winds blow
They cannot touch the warmth in our souls
