Where are the compassionate
Humankind of woes
Whose hearts are hard
And stringed in throes
Of greed and vanity.
Where is the love of humankind?
Many are awashed in drains of hate
Blind to the pitiful call of brotherhood
Soaked in eternal misfortune of
Anguish due to war and poverty!
The world was made perfect
In the beginning it was so
The old golden days of virtues
Are long gone in the modern times
Of technology of lies and deceit.
The gifts are too many
The charities are far more plenty
The love, the caring and the sharing
Are left in the memory of despair
Oh men of wanton depravity!
