Started out rigor mortis

When I had stepped into this fortress

Some 16 22

Give or take a few



But now I walk away

On Graduation Day

With nothing else to say

But



I'm glad that it's all over

At the same time I'm not

Since I can last remember

This school's been all I've got



I thought it's where I b'long

But I guess I was wrong

My days have come and gone

Here's my graduation song



Sometimes we worked so hard

We never stopped to breathe

The years have gotten funner

Now we don't wanna leave this place



But now we can't stay

We owe this to ourselves

Our memories and diplomas

Will rest upon our shelves



And now you walk off too

As I say congrats to you

Now you've nothin' else to do

But...



You wish it wasn't over

At the same time you're glad

You won't forget this ever

This school was all you had

From K-12

We did well

We've made rivals and friends

But now we reach our ends

Games and fights

Parties at night

Pep assemblies

My knees are trembling

A sitting conscious coma

As I'm handed my diploma

Boy, the time flies

Subconsciously deny

We heard, "Congrats"



But now we walk along

Singing our class song

We walk away strong
