but I am still waiting for my heart to mend

I thought you were the one, to put my heart back together

but I will be lucky if we last forever



So you said that you will always be mine

Did you ever consider that I did not want to be yours

It is hard to be with you when everything you say seems to be just another line

Convincing myself that truly everything is fine



So you said that this would get better, that I would find hope

That I would learn how to find better ways to cope

but I go one step forward and then take two steps back

I would love to get back on the right track



So you said that you would help me get through this

Seal all hope for a bright tomorrow with a kiss

but I wake in the morning and you are nowhere to be found
