You were the only face I would see
You were the best friend I ever had
We fell in love along the way
You promised that with me, You'd always stay
But feelings change with time
However I thought eventually I would be fine
I would never want to lose you
I would hate to for this to all be through
But I am afraid this love just is not right
Even though we longed to be together each and every night
I feel disconnected from you, from us, from this
You can't heal things said or done with a kiss
You can't take back things already done
You just have to move forward once you have begun
I thought what we had was perfect, something from up above
Was it foolish of me to call it love?
Now all that is left is pain and regret
Can't I just let go and forget?
No more you and I, no more us
I tried to save what we had, I tried to trust
But misery takes over this time
