Only wanting to find love
Running away from all our fears
Losing sight of the love we have been dreaming of
We held on to each other when the road got rough
We tried to stay strong when it felt as if we had enough
Our love held on though everything kept going wrong
We didnt stop singing even if it was the end of our song
The world said we would never make it
We tried our hardest to prove them wrong
but when it comes down to it
we had to say goodbye and move on
We tried our best to last
We couldnt handle what we were given
Still holding onto the baggage of our past
and the way we were going just wasnt worth living
still we are holding on even though it seems as if there is nothing left
We tired our best even though it wasnt good enough
we gave it a good try
even if we were only led to goodbye
