We said goodbye, felt we were living a lie

Falling apart no matter how hard we tried



I must have been the only one in love

Because I swore he never cried



No, indeed I did see him smile

and I am sure it had been a while



He took the goodbye a little too well

While I was dying in my own private hell



No tears fell from his eyes

Chalk them up to all his lies



Did he ever really love me at all

If so why did he not cry after the fall



He was just glad to finally move on

Don't you know he smiled when I was finally gone



When he said goodbye he was finally happy

He thought he got rid of my for eternity



The whole time he had played his game

and I was just his dame



There were no shared feelings it was all made up

and that is why he never cried,



On that night when we said goodbye
