Perhaps I was not ready to settle

But I was not ready to lose you

My heart was fine with walking hand in hand

I never would have wanted to watch our love die right there in the sand

There are so many words I wish I would have said

But I guess the signals have been misread

and every dream leading back to you has been damaged

never to be fixed

Cant figure out where we went wrong

Can't love forever if you arent so strong

We gave it our best shot

but I guess that we missed

There were so many things on the list

Days went by and our bond

Stayed the same but never grew

How could we have ever known

I feel for you so deeply

I needed you

but all your promises you had to undo

there is no rhyme or reason

you were the only thing worth waking up for

For me..

The loss of you

Meant the loss of forever,

The loss of a season
