You tore my heart,

Right out of my chest.

Left a hole,

A lot bigger than the rest.

I gave you myself,

All I had to give,

I guess it just wasn’t good enough for…



You made me forget,

All about my pride,

Took away my shield,

Leaving me no place to hide.

I’m standing in the open,

For everyone to see,

But you’re the only one I want, looking up at…



This poor boy;

Bearing his soul,

All he wants is the one he loves to

Hold him tight,

And keep him safe,

But she always turns and walks away

And says goodbye…



I am searching for the answers,

But there are none to find.

I’m feeling very lost,

In this life I’m left behind.

Crawling in the dark,

Searching for a light,

I’m waiting to be found laying here still…



I sit here crying,

Where no one else can see.

Knowing without your love,

I’ll never be set free.

I feel I’m in a cage,

You’ve thrown away the key,

Yet still you turn away, still leaving…
