i'm looking up, starin' straight through the clouds, someones whispering but it seems so loud,
and i'm trying to find, the reason why you're gone,
because without you, it all just feels so wrong, 

thinkin back to the other day, you were yellin' at me trying to get your way,  
and i had to try so hard, just to hide my smile,  
we used to be so close but it's, been a while, 

I remember when we'd talk about, all the little things and we'd scream and shout, 
at the players on the tv who could, never play the game, 
but we've grown up and, things just aren't the same,  

made some plans, shot for the stars, we set goals and we cleared the bars, 
we're moving on with life but we're, drifting farther away,  
and i miss how close we were, back in the day,
