There’s a part of me, I’ve longed to see
Much like a flower waiting for spring
For a time of new beginning
Though the day may come, someday soon
I’ll keep on waiting for you
Although I’ve never seen your face
I still pray for you everyday
When God thought of you
He thought of me
He then planned the day that we would meet
In a place, at a time, on a random street
Where your eyes would meet mine
And our hearts skip a beat
Where our lives would entwine
And we would feel complete
Where I become yours and you become mine
But who knew that day would be planned
Next to eternity
But until that day comes
And I know it will be soon
I’ll keep on waiting for you
Just as winter thaws into spring
I pray God does the same for you and me
Making us into the people
We were meant to be
The ones who chase God with all our hearts
No matter hard it may be
I pray that the woman I come to be
Matches the heart of the man
God made for me
Our hearts would sound like a symphony
Like a beautiful tune to a melody
It would be hard to believe
That somewhere out there
Is a person that God made just for me
When that day comes and we finally meet
It won’t be like those fairytales I used to read
With a princess rescued by her shining knight on a noble steed
Ours will be a true love that was meant to be
But until that day, I’ll keep waiting.
