My dad could make laugh.
With just his smile
Or perhaps a joke,
All the while
He was drinking
Vodka in his
Coke.
It was fun
I laughed a lot
Whether it was funny,
Whether it was not.
But all the while
He talked to me,
I felt a sense of love.
My dad’s long gone
Of whom I love most dear
He died some while ago.
So I now sip,
That dreaded brew.
And while I laugh and smile,
So does my little boy aged two.
