I have a complex

When it comes to

My ability to trust.



I either trust too much

Or not at all.



Rarely is there

Any middle ground.



I let people in too soon

Or shut them out entirely.



I wish I could be

Open to trusting people

But only a little at first

Until they’ve proved

Themselves worthy.
