There is an emptiness unfilled
By prescription pills
And booze bottle spills
God is the cure.
He can be taken orally
By songs of praise
That fill us with His love
Or visually by His presence
All around us
And by reading His word.
That is the only way
To heal the world
Of its many ailments.
