I camouflaged myself with neutral-colored
Wallpaper where no one moved to my side
Of the room as if I never even existed.
Here, no one could hear my screams,
No one was listening to my cries for help
To be freed from the bondage of decoupage.
I never meant anything to anyone.
My name never fell gracefully from their lips;
My face forgotten after even one blink.
I hid myself to the point that I stopped breathing;
I stopped caring whether they saw me anymore.
I allowed them to make me disappear.
