It’s 6 a.m.

Beep

I hear my alarm clock blaring.  

Moan

I don’t want to wake up.

Thump

So I press the snooze button.



Eventually. I get out of bed and get dressed.

Zip

I put on my dress.  

Clatter

I go downstairs.

Thud

And I miss a step, but recover quickly.



I prepare my breakfast.

Sizzle

I put the bacon to fry.

Plop

I place a stack of pancakes on my plate.

Crunch

And I finish off with a bowl of cereal.



I’m out the door and get into my car

Slam

I close the car door shut.

Click

I put on my seatbelt.  

Vroom

And I’m off.



I pull out of the driveway.

Honk

I see a car speeding towards me.

Screech

I try to apply the brakes, but it’s too late.

Crash

I have a feeling it's going to be a bad day!
