A car pulls up. It's Derek, Eric, and Vicky. “Bye, everyone!" Evelyn yells to whoever's listening at the house. She runs to the car. She kisses Eric on the cheek. “Hi, everyone!"

“Hi!", the others yell in unison. Derek is driving; Vicky sits on the passenger seat, Eric and Evelyn in the back. "We're going to Tony's,” says Derek. Eric and Evelyn hold hands again. Once they get there, Eric gets out first. He escorts Evelyn out. She says, "Thank you." He kisses her hand. All four walk in the restaurant. Eric and Evelyn are hand in hand, as are Victoria and Derek. They sit down in the waiting area. The restaurant is surprisingly empty, but it is a Monday.

“Party of four, Gibson" , says one of the women behind the front desk.

Eric says, " hat's us."

The waitress sat them at the table by the entrance. Derek and Eric helped Victoria and Evelyn sit. “Hello, my name is Theresa Valdez and I will be serving you this evening. What would you like to drink? May I recommend a fruit smoothie, our specialty?"

Derek says, "We would like four fruit smoothies."

The waitress leaves. The radio starts playing a slow song. "Evelyn, would you like to dance?" Eric places his hand out. She takes it. He twirls her. When she stops, Eric puts his hands around Evelyn's waist. She puts her hands around his neck. They dance through two songs. When they return to the table, the smoothies are already there.

"I ordered four chicken sandwiches. A friend recommended them,” says Derek, "Theresa said the sandwiches would be here in fifteen minutes."

About fifteen minutes later, Theresa came back with the food. "Here's what you ordered. Enjoy." They eat their food. When they finish, another slow song that Evelyn recognizes plays. Eric and Evelyn dance again, as do Derek and Victoria. They dance through three songs. At the end of the last song, Evelyn and Eric almost kiss; but Victoria stops them and says, "We better go. It's getting late."

Once they are in the car, Evelyn whispers in Eric's ear, "It's too early. We hardly know each other. Some other time."

Derek reaches Evelyn's house. She gets out and waves good-bye.
