When my days had been so cold,
There was nobody for me to hold,
And that is how it has always been.
When my nights had been so dark,
There was nobody to guide my heart,
And that is how it has always been.
Now, each night and day,
I no longer worry nor fret;
I try kissing my past away,
As you show me a mindset.
When my body had been so weak,
There was nobody stronger to seek,
And that is how it has always been.
When my heart had been so hurt,
There was nobody to uplift from dirt,
And that is how it has always been.
My nobody became someone,
The weakness, darkness, pain,
And cold are all entirely gone;
There is now a love for me to gain.
