Burnt

the roof of my mouth

an innocent looking

slice of pizza

guffawing at my pain

they say pepperoni

is a silent killer

perhaps they,

whoever the Hell they are

were right

yet burnt mouth or not

another bite forthcoming

greedily you execute the culprit
