Yes, it’s such a joke

the way I cry poetic license

it covers up

my typical crude rudeness

I come off

with some crude remark

poetic license

that’s my saving grace

that’s my excuse

and people are like

“OH shit, that’s right

He’s a poet

Wow poetic license”

It gets me out

of crazy jams

that my god damn

big mouth keeps

getting me into

but hey, if it works

you know, how they say

I can get away with it

so ride it out

yeah, poetic license

lets me get away

with fucking up everything

and keep on fucking up

throughout it all

Ah, yes, poetic license

it is such a gift
