Breakdown time

I’m gonna take

all the emotional scars

of my life

and just let them go

they can’t hurt me anymore

I won’t let them

hurt me any longer

It’s time to move on

put all the self pity aside

stop being a whiner

and a crybaby

It’s time to take the key

out of my pocket

and set myself free

The time to move on

has finally arrived

and I can no longer

be a slave

to my own self pity

Time heals all wounds

it is high time

I let it heal mine

It is high time

I move on again

released from this prison

self inflicted as it is

It is time to free myself

and release the spirit
