is limited to the feel and sound
of the mother’s voice and gentle touch
universe contained in a little hutch
bliss nonesuch
A toddler’s view of the world
is somewhat more unfurled
recognizing no rules or censor
an explorer starting to venture
on a solo adventure
A teen’s view of the world
tends to be constantly swirled
a plane of magical illusion
love and heartbreaks in profusion
a compendium of confusion
The world viewed from someone’s mind
who has finally left the teens behind
seems to be an impossible juggle
of responsibilities in constant shuffle
a never ending struggle
The world view of the more matured
erstwhile jugglers, now chronically bored
after a lifetime of chasing perfection
tends to turn towards introspection
bittersweet memories in reflection
And finally the world viewed by the old
from breaking dawn to twilight gold
perhaps they understand it best
as they turn their sights away from this plane
and prepare to depart to the next
One world with so many hues
of ever changing point of views
differentiated by objective
the only constant in our lives
is the ever changing perspective
