People think submission
is the absence of strength.
They've never carried
the kind of heart
that has survived storms
and still chooses to stay soft.
They've never learned
that trust
is sometimes the bravest thing
a person can give away.
Before you,
I held everything.
Every fear.
Every decision.
Every sleepless night
spent convincing myself
that I had to be enough
for everyone.
Then you walked into my life
and asked me to breathe.
Not because I was broken.
Not because I needed to be fixed.
But because you saw the weight
I never admitted I was carrying.
You never asked me
to become someone else.
You simply gave me a place
where I didn't have to carry it alone.
So when I kneel,
it isn't obedience born from fear.
It is trust made visible.
It is choosing,
again and again,
to place my hand in yours
because you've shown me
that you'll never close your fist around it.
People will never understand.
They'll see lowered eyes
and quiet moments.
They'll think I've given up pieces of myself.
They don't see
that I have never felt
more like myself
than I do here.
My submission isn't silence.
It's the loudest promise
my heart has ever made.
It says,
I trust you.
I choose you.
And in that choice,
I have found a kind of freedom
I never knew I was searching for.
