Bronnie doesn't know what is waiting for him. He is new in the most tense and cruel high school of the country. Bronnie is just a good, innocent guy who is always looking for peace. The students in Tuff High School are rude and bad; they arrive to school in Harley Davidson’s, wearing tons of grease and a cool leather jacket. Those kids use to fight for fun, drink on Mondays, and lift 4 hours a day. Bronnie's innocence let him always be who he is: an inoffensive, pacific, cheerful young guy. It is the first day of the semester. Mom is driving; Bronnie kisses her, opens the door, and suddenly the wind make a mess of his un-greased hair. His smile lights his way up the main High School stairway.  All the students stare directly to him. Some are confused, others disturbed, but they just couldn't stand the idea of looking to a guy with such a joyful personality. It is as if Gandhi comes in walking to the worst prison. Bronnie is in the main hallway when suddenly a blonde tall girl slips in the wet floor and falls to the ground. Everyone laughs but him. He walks to her and lifts her up. "Thank you, you are pretty nice", Lila says with her eyes wide open, as if she'd never seen a person making a nice act. "It's nothing", Bronnie says grinning from side to side. Bronnie keeps on walking through the long hallway, while the bad, tall, football defensive line blocks his way to his class. Lila is Tyson's girlfriend. You don't touch Tyson's girlfriend. Tyson is the rudest, baddest, most handsome boy in school. Tyson comes through the tall guys blocking, showing up in front of Bronnie. "Who are you?", he says to Bronnie. "Hello, I'm Bronnie, nice to meet you.", surprisingly, Bronnie just isn't afraid of everything. He always speaks showing all of his teeth, never thinking that something wrong can happen. Tyson was shocked. No one has ever met him without being afraid. He desires to intimidate Bronnie, but he is the one feeling ashamed and terrified. The truth is that anyone who has a continuous smile on his face conceals a toughness that is almost frightening. And that is frightening Tyson. The toughest, rudest, most aggressive man in school is being frightened by a beautiful smile. Tyson is speechless. Bronnie stretches his hand waiting him to do so. Tyson stares right to his hand, shocked and ashamed. It was a determining moment for the school's new lifestyle. If their leader decides to shake Bronnie's hand, he is deciding to make peace with life. All of his teammates, his girlfriend, his followers and admirers are shockingly staring at the scene. Tyson begins to sweat, and he is panting. He stares back to Bronnie's eyes, and with a weird, awkward and confused smile, he shakes his hand. Automatically, all the school relieved pain. A wave of calm removed all the tension from the hallway, tossing it out through the main stairway. Everyone starts to smile and to shake Bronnie's hand. As Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "Man must evolve for all human conflict a method which rejects revenge, aggression and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love." A smile has changed the school... and a smile can change the world.
