Walking around that pioneer town
I met a girl with always bare feet.
I picked her up for a piggyback ride,
and I knew right then walking through the creek
that this girl was all I'd need.
And then the day was over...
before I could tell her...
Another year went by,
and that look in her eyes
was everything on my mind.
More piggyback rides,
and again it was time...
But I was too shy to tell her...

Standing right here I can swear that I'll be there life long.

A couple years down the road
wouldn't you know, that girl came again.
A walmart trip, an old hotel,
and the back of my cousins car.
a little while later, and man
it was like we were never apart.
I was still too shy to say...
