show me your unedited self

that i may never love an illusion,

give me of your fullness when full,

receive from me mine when empty;

only ever be the you who you are,

never the you who you think you should be.

you are genuine, be genuine,

make me not to wonder who you are.

when you are bold be bold,

feign not timidity;

when you are insecure be insecure,

and come to me for security.

when you are sad be sad,

wear not a lackluster smile;

when you are joyful be joyful,

and share with me your joy.

when you are tired be tired;

when you are lively be lively.
