Religion is like a computer virus. The best way to spread a virus is through coded language. Once that virus has taken over the system, it can be really hard to remove. This is no different then the effect that Marxist indoctrination has on the brain. Colleges exist to infect people with this totalitarian Marxist virus. The people that tend to get infected the easiest are the ones who have been taught not to think for themselves. Gullible people that want every thing spoonfed to them are the easiest targets for the hackers of ideology and religion, which is why it can be very difficult arguing with these people, because they can not see outside the established point of view they have been fed. You can only hope that on their own journey in life that they wake up and see the truth. Trying to debate them will only make them confirm their own bias and make them even more defensive.
