The Hyena and the prairie dog
There was no brush to hide, no hole to jump in, there was all covered into flames, and there it was, the little prairie dog, running desperately, the laughing hyena was chasing him and yell it at him, “what for are you running oh little prairie dog?”, -- “Why?! I’m running because a crazy hyena wants me for dinner!” the poor little creature began to run faster, insanely trying to escape, “No, no, no little creature, I didn’t asked why, I asked you what for are you running?”, “what for? Well, I don’t want to get killed!” – yelled the little prairie dog, running and avoiding the enormous walls of fire that was all over the prairie, “No little thing! I may think you are mistaken, you don´t see what it’s going on?” the hyena keep chasing the little prairie dog, placing her yellow eyes into the little creature. “The only dam things I see it’s a big hyena trying to eat me, what do you mean that it’s happening around us? There is nothing! Said nervously, “HA HA HA HA” laughed loudly the hyena, “You are pretty funny, my nervous friend”, “Stop laughing you crazy hyena!” “If nothing is going around why don’t you try to enter into one your little prairie dog holes? Why don’t you hide into the brushes? Oh you little creature…” the little prairie dog didn’t answer. By then the race between the hyena and the prairie dog crossed half of the savannah, both animals were tired and thirsty, and almost by common decision they headed to the waterhole, and while they were running through the savannah the temperature where increasing and decreasing to a dizzying speed, then the two creatures arrive to the waterhole, the little prairie dog yelled “please stop! You are tired the same as me, you need to drink something or you will die the same as me! The hyena slow down and the both animals approached to the waterhole, the prairie dog place himself as far as possible from the hyena, and just when the little creature lowered his head to drink some fresh water, the hyena shouted “STOP!, don´t you see little creature? The water is boiling, don’t you see the bubbles, and don’t you feel the heat? Why are you doing this? Where were you when all this chaos started? Why do you act like nothing its happening? “. The little prairie dog step aside from the water, and answered to the hyena “I was the watcher in my colony, I opened big my eyes to warn my family if something get wrong, but when I see that balls of fire crossing the sky I knew that no warn will save them, so I run and run, I just wasn’t prepared for this I just want to go home and lie in my hole with my family , but I don’t have family to warn and protect anymore… The crazy hyena was stunned, and didn’t said nothing for a while, but after a few minutes of silence the hyena laughed, and laughed like a hyena loud and crazy “HA HA HA, I guess nobody was prepared for this my little friend, well nobody its prepared for the end, the only thing that we can do its stay close and wait for it, waiting to see again your family.
The moral is: "The end will come one day or another, and you will never be truly prepared, stay close to your beloved ones and wait for it with integrity.
