There’s a smile upon my face
To see you walking down the street
The world around us disappears
When at the light we meet
The clarity was amiss
When I saw myself today
I was clandestinely
Pleasing in a delicate way
I know that I have failed you
I know I’ve let you down
Don’t you know that I have tried?
Just let go, just drown
On my island of hope
It’s just you and me
A breath between us will
Let me be the girl you see
But every time I’m close to you
There’s too much I can’t say
And I forgot to tell you
