Summer has set in
The sun blazes intensely
For those caught in a rat race
Of making more and more money
They say: "All for a better family".
I am not bothered
By this pandemonium
I go to the hills
And to the secret place
Where Spring is forever
For my beloved Daphne.
Of what use is life
If devoid of romance, love?
Of what use was Eden,
For Adam, without Eve?
So Daphne and I,
Are untainted by summer,
High up there, we sing,
Enjoying joys and bliss,
Of a blessed, 'Eternal Spring'.
