Democracy is sometimes
All fools gathered together
To become a majority.
Power dealers are clever
They know mob psychology
And the art of the orator.
Promises are made as if
God belongs to them
The people change belief.
Honesty is invisible
Hypocrisy rules haughtily
And mocks the loyal.
Lexicons have changed
New words and new meanings
Minds foggy and deranged.
Truth and reality
Are clashing with each other
Love has lost chastity.
Family bonds do not exist
Friendship lies in shards
Deception welcomes conceit.
I am one of the few
Who cannot reconcile
And remain out of view.
The Horsehead nebula
And meteor showers on Jupiter
Tell me and friendly Donna
Of what may happen here
The earthlings -- the majority
Are welcoming hell fire.
The meek shall inherit the earth
So said the Messiah
Of them there is no dearth.
Donna and I see Antares
In the realms of Scorpius
And Hercules ending the fuss.
