Friendship, love
And jocund songs
Like fading ripples in a vast pond.
Only God is there
As always
For the heart craving true love.
In this fickle world
Words of love abound
And promises fool
The naive and the gullible
Who pine for a bosom
With a heart within
Which really knows how to love.
It is a mirage
Everything in this world
And I must not let go of God
For He always has time for me
And loves me like none can.
