O my dear poet friends
Scattered worldwide
Can anyone of you convince me
Of a life without a soul?
No one can
Disprove me as I wait
For a kiss of life from my "Lush Lily"...
Heather Burns Wilkins
You know me via my poetry
And know how much I am in love
With my very own "Lush Lily"
Let the sky play with its stars
And the planets and moons cajole
I find nothing except
An emptiness sans my 'whole'
She is everything to me
Care not I for what others say
I cannot tarry for long
Without her and her true love.
She is my sun and moon and planets
My galaxies of all stars
This I have also told God
She rules my all by far.
My doomsday is relived each day
When my "Lush Lily" is not there
To recreate my Paradise of love
With her smiling heavenly ways.
In her twinkling laughter is peace
Aye, my poet friends
This is not a mountain of a molehill
When I am in her healing embrace.
So how can anything ever "be"
Without her sweet company?
Did not Adam prefer Eve
And delayed eternity?
